Why do I still smell when switching to natural deodorant?Updated 2 months ago
A bit of extra odour in the early days is completely normal - especially if you’re moving away from an antiperspirant.
Some people have no adjustment period, others 4 days to a week. In some extreme cases we have seen this take up to 4 weeks.
A few things may be happening:
Your sweat glands are adjusting now that they’re no longer blocked by aluminium.
There may be some product build-up on the skin.
You might need a more thorough wash or a deeper clean to reset the skin’s surface.
You might be better suited to a different Woohoo scent (because different essential oils work better than others for some of us)
A warm, soapy wash with a washer each day = plus the occasional deep-clean clay mask - usually helps things settle nicely.
If odour continues or you’re unsure which formula is right for you, we’re always here to help.
