No. Woohoo makes deodorants, not antiperspirants, and the difference is worth knowing.

An antiperspirant is built to reduce how much you sweat, usually with aluminium salts that temporarily plug the sweat ducts. Every Woohoo deodorant is aluminium-free, so your sweating carries on as normal.

A deodorant leaves the sweating alone and goes after the smell instead (and ours use absorbent powders that soak up moisture too). Sweat is close to odourless on its own - BO starts when the bacteria living on your skin break it down - and that's where our formulas do their work. Depending on the formula, that's some mix of:

• Bicarb soda, which neutralises the acids behind BO (our bicarb-free formulas use magnesium hydroxide instead, for sensitive underarms)
• Zinc oxide and xylityl sesquicaprylate, which keep odour-causing bacteria in check while protecting your skin barrier
• Triethyl citrate, which helps stop bacteria breaking sweat down in the first place
• Zinc ricinoleate, which traps odour molecules before you notice them
• Tapioca starch, which absorbs moisture so you feel fresher for longer

So yes, you'll still sweat. You just won't smell like it.
