How do we choose our ingredients?Updated a month ago

Every ingredient has to earn its place. Before one goes into a formula it has to be proven to work on real skin rather than on test tube cells, be suitable for sensitive skin, be checked for safety, be natural, naturally derived or nature identical, and be sustainable, ethical, vegan and cruelty free.

Then we look at how they behave together, which is the part we call Conscious Chemistry: ingredients are chosen for what they do in combination, not for how they read on a label.
