Help - my deodorant stick feels rough/gritty/course/scratchyUpdated 10 months ago

We're sorry to hear that your deodorant stick is not as it should be as your deodorant stick should be smooth and gentle with a nice glide. We will be happy to replace this for you (subject to our return policy)!

A rough or scratchy texture is certainly not the norm for Woohoo deodorants, but we see cases of this from time to time as Mother Nature has her way.  

To give you a little more information about what may have happened:

• Our Woohoo formulation is melted and blended until perfectly smooth, then poured and chilled to set. However being a natural product with waxes, butter and powders a number of things can potentially happen due to physics and the elements. 

• For example, if Woohoo is exposed frequently to warmer temps, this allows some of those ingredients to soften, and in this state can allow for some to start to shift and bond together.  As the deodorant cools down again and sets those ingredients can create little lumps.

• If the lumps are wax, oil or Shea butter they should soften fairly quickly with body heat. However those are not the only ingredients that like to shift. Powders tend to shift from their suspended state and feel rough and scratchy to the touch.

While you wait for your replacement stick, we have a little fix to get your stick feeling smooth again… 

Push the deodorant stick up out of the tube till around 5 mm of deodorant is exposed and carefully cut the rough end off with a knife. You can then smooth out the 'new top' by holding it against the palm of your hand and twisting the deo back and forth. Your body heat will warm, soften, and smooth the top and it will be like new 😊
