Yes, and it's one of the tests an ingredient has to pass before it goes into a formula. Alongside working on real skin and being suitable for sensitive skin, every ingredient has to be sustainable, ethical, vegan and cruelty free. Every product we make is vegan and certified cruelty free with PETA and Safe Cosmetics Australia - and we've been vegan for over a decade. For example, our coconut oil comes from local farms in a small Solomon Islands community.

Palm oil is the honest exception. We've cut it back a long way as ingredient options have become available to us, but it's still in a few functional ingredients like emulsifiers, so there's a palm oil free range for anyone avoiding it entirely.
